We need your help! Why? So we can continue our work in supporting women’s surfing in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Aotearoa Women’s Surfing Association was created to represent the interests of women surfers in Aotearoa New Zealand. We have an important role to play in supporting and encouraging a safe, inclusive, and fun surfing experience for all wāhine in Aotearoa, New Zealand. We need your support to cover the costs that this role demands.

Our dedicated board is leading an initiative that supports women’s surfing in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Through the establishment of the Regional Surf Network we have been able to reach our surfing regions and now have ambassadors from all around Aotearoa.

We have also created a visually pleasing and functional website and a successful social media platform on both Facebook and Instagram. In addition, we have been proactive in releasing e-newsletters for our members.

Since our re-establishment in early 2019 we have become stronger and more focused in our vision through the development of our Strategic Plan, which includes long-term objectives of running annual youth training camps and a women’s surf festival. However, for us to be able to roll this out effectively we need to be well funded.

We made the decision in 2019 to make AWSA membership free to help generate greater support and make AWSA more inclusive for all. However, this has meant we have been left without a means of financial support yet continue to face the financial costs that come with running an organization. To be able to continue to operate AWSA needs you!

With your help we can continue to support and encourage a safe, inclusive, and fun surfing experience for all women in Aotearoa, New Zealand!

We may be a small, purely volunteer driven organization but your contributions give us a big voice! Please consider contributing $25, $50 or whatever you can afford.
